Like, I happily played games on an integrated HD 530 GPU at native or even 720p res in lighter games, I don't understand your optimization complaints. It runs most games on any gaming PC hardware released in the past 10 years. It is a working emulator that can play a good majority of games without too much problem and is fairly accurate in what it can play. Second, PCSX2 is one of the best emulators period. (its more a temporary solution) Which means the emulator is not behaving like the real console, and can/will cause tons of bugs/issues.
The emulator is in a "working" state just because of game specific hacks, which is bad practice. Pcsx2 is considered bad because the code base is a jumbled mess no one can read/understand (which makes working on it hard if not impossible, meaning the development suffers greatly).Īlso the gsdx plugin has too many issues, which are pretty much unfixable at this point w/o completely re-writing it from scratch.
